Best 7 Inch Tablets (Part Two)

In the first part, we looked at the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0. It’s an amazing tablet with an amazing price.

The tablet only costs 250 bucks! It comes with an impressive screen, a dual core processor and Android Ice Cream Sandwich and impressive battery life. What more could you ask for?

If you’re not convinced you should sell your iPad for that one, you can try another Samsung tablet though, the Galaxy Tab 7.7. It’s a more expensive tablet. Being more expensive, you’re treated to more features, of course.

Let’s look at the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 and see how it will make you sell your iPad.

The Galaxy Tab 7.7, like other Galaxy Tabs, has the same design, but differs when it comes to software and other minute details.

One cool thing about this tablet is that it doesn’t have a plastic back that feels cheap anymore. Instead, it has an aluminum back panel that feels really nice, similar to the iPad.

On the sides, you’ll find the power button, volume control and IR sensor. There’s also a micro SD card slot and a SIM card slot for 4G. Rounding out everything is the headphone jack, microphone pinhole and the trademark dual speakers of the Galaxy Tab.

At the front, there’s a 2.0 megapixel camera and a 3.0 megapixel main camera. There’s also an LED flash. You’ll be able to take nice – looking pictures with this tablet, which is better than the camera of the iPad – which has none!

In terms of software, it’s a bit behind. The tablet comes with Android 3.2 Honeycomb. While it may not be Ice Cream Sandwich you’ve been looking for, Honeycomb is more than capable of giving you a good tablet experience.

Since this is a Samsung product, there’s TouchWiz on top. You’ll get custom apps like Music Hub and Game Hub where you can purchase content. You’ll also get access to tons of apps in Android’s app store.

One cool feature of TouchWiz though, is the inclusion of a Mini Apps button. When you press it, you’ll be able to select small apps that help you. These apps are a calculator, a clock, a music player, a calendar and a notes taker. It’s really handy because you can use them while doing something else, such as surfing the web.

Another cool thing about this app is the screen. It uses AMOLED technology to display cleaner colors. Fantastic contrast and true colors are trademarks of this screen. It’s probably the best screen of any Galaxy Tab yet.

You’ll also get the Peel app, which turns your tablet into a remote control. Just follow the setup wizard and you’ll be able to switch to any programs currently playing without touching the remote!

If that hasn’t grabbed your attention, we’ll take a look at another Samsung tablet, and the Kindle Fire. You’ll definitely sell your iPad for the convenience these 7 inch tablets offer.

Stay tuned and don’t go away.
